To date, Mapleblume has exclusively been available to Canadian zip codes but as of this April they will be shipping to the US. This box is definitely a splurge but hey, ballers gotta ball so this goes out to you!
Someone called me an “Eco-luxe beauty fanatic” the other day and I gotta say, I am diggin’ it. Embracing this label made exploring this luxe beauty box even more fun. After all, Mapleblume’s motto is “Quality. Luxury. Integrity.” A.KA. “This Organic Girl” right?! Haha – too much!? Anyways, let’s see what we got!
The February box features two makeup selections. First, one of my faves; the RMS Living Luminizer. I have previously dubbed this highlighter “the Jackie O of highlighters” and I totally stand by that. Refined, understated and impactful. Great for any age, skin tone and style. This translucent, satin-pearl finish highlighter brings life to my face in the most natural way. Made with organic oils, Titanium Dioxide and Mica, RMS “blurs the line between skincare and makeup,” A must-have in any green beauty makeup kit! $38RMS Living Luminizer=The Jackie O of highlighters. We also get a Hynt Beauty LIBRE Lip Gloss. Packed with certified organic ingredients this highly pigmented lipgloss brings some serious color payoff while still maintaining a light and moisturizing consistency. I have this gloss in a couple of colors and let me just say this: this formula brings dimension, bold color and it stays. $18
Biodara Luminous Cleansing Oil
I’m a huge fan of cleansing oils but you guys already knew that. This is my first time using anything by Biodara. Their tagline is “organic luxury skincare” – so I’m pretty sure we could be best friends. Packaged in dark glass, this formula boasts certified organic oils and organic essential oils and removes dirt and makeup like the best of them. Plus it smells like lemongrass and lavender. A calming way to begin or end the day. $42
Fig + Yarrow Complexion Water
I’ve had the pleasure of trying a few products from Fig + Yarrow but this was my first time using their Complexion Water. It’s offered in two scent profiles and we get to try the yarrow/immortelle/rockrose blend. The smell is gorgeous, like a woodsy rose. It’s made with organic calendula distillate, organic yarrow distillate, lactobacillus ferment and essential oils of: yarrow, immortelle and rockrose. Fantastic after cleansing and before moisturizing and again throughout the day as desired. $14
Odacité Ba + S Eye Serum Concentrate
So so so excited when I saw something from Odacité was included! Their motto is “French skincare with green California living” – I mean what’s not to love!? Especially excited that we get to try their eye serum because let’s be honest; mama ain’t gettin’ any younger!
Made with a base of Baobab oil it promises to target all signs of aging around the eye area and help to reduce wrinkles and increase elasticity. And the ingredients look really good too.
This serum is packaged in dark glass with a glass dropper. You won’t need more than a drop for each eye. It is super rich, soaks right in and has a barley-there fresh botanical scent to it. I have been loving this in my nighttime routine. $42
The Abnormal Beauty Company
Another new brand for me – this formula is a boost of hydration for the skin and can be used on its own or mixed with a moisturizer. You can check out this brand and their ingredients on the Hylamine website.
