What I Am Loving: April Empties

April 26, 2017

Green Beauty empties

I love doing Empties posts because you can actually see what I am using. And just to point out how powerful this is – just think about the last time you finished a nail polish or an eye shadow. I’m talking scraping the bottom of the barrel finished. Like, never. Right? But imagine if you did! You would buzz your bestie, text your mom and scream it from the rooftops – get this shampoo! Well multiply that feeling by 10 because when you have a mill products to choose from and you still stick with one until the end, it’s like WOAH. So step right up because I’m screaming of my rooftop about a couple of things that are so good, I couldn’t put down. Read on to see my April Empties.

Honey Blossom + Marshmallow Root Curling Creme by Flourish

Flourish Curling Creme
Flourish Curl Creme, $26

Flourish sent me their curl creme to try last summer and I finally had to put her to rest last weekend. She came on my trip to Minnesota with me and I was scraping out the last bits with a Q-tip. Desperate anyone?! Light and creamy, this curling product goes on thin and gives curls the perfect definition. There is no crunching or hardening as the product dries. It just makes my waves look like they were meant to be waves and not a big mashup of frizz, or a statue of a curl.

I use a pea size amount and run it through my locks when they are wet then dry upside down with a diffuser, scrunching as I go. After washing I can usually leave my hair for days before washing again and my waves go from bouncy with volume to piecey and wavy. This product wears so well – I love it. Check out my full review for more.

And the ingredients: purified water, organic marshmallow root, local Vermont honey, organic vegetable glycerin, behentirmonium methosulfate (vegetable), caprylic capris triglycerides, hydrolyzed wheat protein, vitamin B, Ecocert gluconolacctone, ecocert sodium benzoate, blend of essential oils.

True Botanicals Hydrating Cleanser and Nutrient Mist

True Botanicals cleanser and mist_
True Botanicals Hydrating Cleanser, $48 and Nutrient Mist, $48

Taking it back to the old school with True Botanicals old packaging. I ran out of these two last week and I was thanking my lucky stars I had backups!

True Botanicals Hydrating Cleanser and their Nutrient Mist are BOMB! Love these two. They are both so gentle yet so active. The cleanser gently dissolves dirt and grime and leaves my face feeling so hydrated – almost to the point where I feel like I may not even need a moisturizer. And their Nutrient Mist calms skin while delivering hydration. I prefer the Nutrient Mist CALM and the Hydrating Cleanser CLEAR and they seems to help with my hormonal breakouts.

And guess what, the True Botanicals CLEAR line just out performed Proactiv+ in clinical trials. So exciting to have an acne fighting line that is not full of toxins! This line is one of my all time faves. You can’t go wrong with anything from True Botanicals. Check out my full review of their CLEAR line.

Nutrient Mist: organic green and white tea extract, organic kombucha, organic blue chamomile flower water, water avena oat extract, lactobacillus ferment, lactobacillus, coconut fruit extract, helichrysum extract, organic marshmallow root extract, milk thistle seed oil, algae extract, organic glycerin, caprylyl/capryl glucoside, neroli flower oil, organic lavender oil.

Maya Chia’s The Super Couple

I got introduced to The Super Couple through one of the Beauty Heroes discoveries and it was SO GOOD, I didn’t put it down until it was gone. Literally, every day and night until I was shaking out the last drop. (I couldn’t find my empty so I subbed The Highlight of the Day for this pic but the bottle looks very similar.

The Super Couple is a face oil (face moisturizer) that combines one of the world’s most powerful antioxidants; astasanthin, with nature’s #1 superfood; chia. Astaxanthin is 65X stronger than vitamin C and 14x stronger than vitamin E and it’s an anti-aging powerhouse to combat dull, tired and aging skin. The minute you see the color of this serum you will know it is something special. But it’s doesn’t stop there, the color, the aroma, the performance. This goes on thin and soaks right in leaving skin moisturized, nourished and happy. Check out my full review.

The Super Couple uses natural, organic and wildcrafted ingredients from all over the world. $85

Ingredints: Supercirtical chia seed oil, Astaxanthin extract, organic or wild crafted jasmine absolute, organic or wildcrafted Bulgarian rose absolute, organic or wildcrafted Australian sandalwood, organic or wild crafted rosewood, organic or wild crafted carrot seed essential oil, organic or wild crafted essential oils.

Innersense Color Awakening Hairbath

I grabbed the Innersense Color Awakening shampoo at Credo Beauty when I was out in San Fran last year and I couldn’t stop using it. Foaming action combined with a spirited orangey citrus scent and a formula that is sans toxins had me at hello. I mean give me a nontoxic shampoo and tell me that it foams and I am all yours!

I usually need two rounds of shampooing with this formula to feel totally clean. This goes for $26 but I love that they have a 2 oz option for $8 if you want to sample first!

Innersense has since changed their packaging but this formula remains the same. Check out the ingredients:

One Love Organics Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover

The B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover was the first ever oil cleanser I tried and it is a great option for people just getting into oil cleansing. I say this because it is water soluble and washes off so easily, smells fantastic (like gummy bears!) and gets the job done. I especially love this formula for taking off makeup.

You can’t go wrong with this cleanser/makeup remover, it is total crowd pleaser! Grab yours from Follain! $42

Check out the ingredients: organic sunflower seed oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, di-ppg-2 merely-10 adipate, polyglycerol-3 beeswax, organic lecithin, organic pumpkin seed oil, organic papain, papaya seed oil, tocopherol and fragrance/parfum (from essential oils)

Over but not OUT!

So what’s a girl to do!? I have Flourish sending another curl creme. Thank God I had backups of True Botanicals Nutrient Mist and Hydrating Cleanser. For shampoo I have fullsies of Innersense’s new Hydrating Cream Hairbath and also True Botanicals Shampoo – both are in my front lines. For face oil I am currently using KHUS + KHUS BLOSSOM face serum which I know I will use up to the end too. I LOVE IT. And lastly for an oil cleanser I am currently using MOA’s The Green Balm and I am almost out of that too! Eek!

What have you used up to the point of scraping the bottom to get every last bit!? Spill!

smooches-heart
