It’s that time of the month again! When all the organic makeup and skincare become available at a fraction of the cost. I’m talking about beauty subscriptions! Read on for August’s organic beauty box subscription roundup.
I generally cover what I like to call The Big Four of organic beauty subscriptions. Of course there are more but these are my faves. And you may see a new offering in the mix here and there if I think it’s worth a mention. Before we get into the nitty-gritty, these are how all the subscriptions stack up:
- Delivered monthly.
- Usually two full sized skin/hair/body care products.
- You pay $42.95/month or less if you commit to a longer subscription.
- Always over $90 in value.
- Once you are a member you get 15% their entire store ALWAYS.
- Members get first dibs on limited edition releases to ensure access before they sell out.
- Three month commitment then cancel anytime.
- Subscriptions arrive the first week of each month.
I love the Beauty Heroes subscription because it literally delivers all the green beauty BALLERS! We are constantly seeing big names from all over the world bringing the best of the best organic skin/hair/body care has to offer like Josh Rosebrook, Max & Me, True Botanicals and more. This one’s for all us luxe beauty lovers who want it all but don’t want to pay full price!
- Delivered every two months.
- Usually two full-sized skincare products although sometimes we see three or this month it is one.
- Sometimes there is an occasional makeup item included but most times not.
- You pay $49.95/month.
- The value here is unparalleled and has been sitting between $200-$250!
- No commitment and you can cancel anytime! That means you can legit grab one box and wait on the sidelines for the next one that looks good.

- Boxes are shipped out the first week of the month.
I love Boxwalla because they really go to the ends of the Earth to bring subscribers skincare that must be discovered. Sometimes it’s big names but often times it’s not. However what it always is? WORTH IT! This subscription will help you discover the indie of all indie green beauty brands for less. I also love that it comes every 2 months so we have time to really fall in love with and use up our products. Boxwalla also offers Movie and Book subscriptions and you can toggle between them meaning one month get beauty, two months later? Movies!

I love Art Of Organics because it has the lowest price point here but with no compromise. Just in the past few month’s we’ve seen crowd pleasers like Kahina Giving Beauty, LILFOX, LUXE, One Love Organics. Leahlani and AU Naturale. I also love that Art of Organics features a different independent artist every month through their packaging artwork.

I love The Detox Box for so many reasons. First of all The Detox Market legit has every green beauty brand known to man so they have the ability to surprise us with ANYTHING! I also love that we consistently see three products from one brand (in general). It’s a great way to get to get to know what one brand has to offer. It’s like skipping dates one and two and jumping right into date three. Not to mention they deliver king pin brands like Josh Rosebrook, OSMIA, Province Apothecary, Vapour…
Newest fave is the True Botanicals Sun & Moon Box. Here’s the scoop.
- You pick the True Botanicals product.
- You pick the timeframe. IE every 1, 2, 3, 4 months.
- You get a 10% discount.
- You get a super cute free gift! Last month was a 9 oz Swell reusable water bottle!
Love the True Botanicals subscription because I know with 100% assurance I am getting my fave products at a specific time. True Botanicals Clear Line totally changed my skin which you can read about here. And their Nourishing Shampoo + Conditioner are my holy grails! And I get my faves for less!
Okay enough chit chat, let’s get down to the good stuff. This is what August is delivering!
Art of Organics Delivers Prim Botanicals
This month, Art Of Organics is delivering Prim Botanicals! We are seeing Prim’s The Hair Oil ($44) and The Body Oil ($54) – a $98 total for $39 with a two month commitment.
When I think Prim Botanicals, I think one thing: beautiful scent profiles. Seriously, all of their products smell powdery and floral and just make a girl feel extra pretty. And these two fall right in line.
I love a good body oil and Prim Botanicals does not disappoint. So many things to adore here including the chunky glass packaging, the colorful, tropical labeling and of course the scent – bergamot and rosemary anyone!? I prefer using body oil right out of the shower when my skin is still moist and damp – it really helps to lock moisture in and keep skin hydrated. The Body Oil goes on smooth, sinks right in and leaves skin feeling super smooth. I love the addition of black pepper oil as an anti-inflammatory agent. I also really enjoy the pump applicator – it’s key for getting not too little and not too much product. This one’s a real treat!
And I’m personally not a huge hair oil person but I’ve been adding a bit of The Hair Oil to my styling cream and I think it’s been adding some nice shine and helping to keep curls defined. Plus that smell. I mean what’s better than great smelling hair!? Okay, maybe tacos but after that, NOT MUCH!
Just want to add too that both of these products have STELLAR ingredients.
The Detox Box featuring Vapour Organic Beauty
Hello! You guys know I love me some Vapour Organic Beauty! Their line is super organic, plus it preforms and just leaves my skin looks so dang glowing and healthy! A $111 value for $49.95 – cancel anytime. Get your Vapour on here!
So excited to see not one, not two but THREE items from Vapour in the August Detox Box!
Aura Mulit-Use Classic In Courtesan – I absolutely adore the Vapour Mulit-Sticks and Courtesan does not disappoint. This classic rose color is also what Kristen Arnett picked for her Green Beauty Icon’s Box just a few months ago. This can be blended really sheer or built up for a more dramatic look – use on cheeks, eyes and lips for a beautiful flush of color. If you haven’t tried a cream blush yet, you must! It’s the secret to getting that glow. I have it on here on my lips, cheeks an eyelids.
Velvet Lip Gloss In Crystal – Loving this lip shine! First of all it’s packaged in glass – love. Second, it goes on clear and has just a hint of iridescence. Third it has the sweetest touch of an apricot flavor. You can also use it on your cheekbones (I have it applied on my cheekbones above) for a bit of a balmy highlight.
Stratus Luminous Skin Perfecting Primer 904 – Love it! If you are not a foundation girl but you want a little somethin’- this stick is it! It diffuses fine lines and pores and color-corrects dull skin. You can also use it as a primer under your favorite foundation. It has a bit of a shimmer and just lights up my face. I have it on under my Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation above.
Beauty Heroes Featuring Ayuna
This month we are seeing Ayuna’s Natural Rejuvenating Treatment Cream Light and Body Cream. This is a $257 value for $42.95! WOWZA! This is Beauty Heroe’s highest valued discovery to date! Get it!
I’ve gotten to try a bunch of samples from Ayuna but not many full size items so I was so excited to see this delivery show up at my door!
First of all, if you are a face cream lover, YOU GOTTA SNAG THIS BOX! I love my oils but I also love a good face cream and this is it. I’ve tried both their Light and their Rich and I love both. The Light is a great weight for daytime and the Rich is creamier for more of an overnight treatment. But to be honest, I’ve been loving the Light for overnight during the summer. It provides so much moisture but also acts as a barrier to seal in my water and oil based serums. It’s formulated with a new generation of 100% vegan ingredients including phyto-peptiedes and restorative botanical cell factors. And it’s just perfect. And guess what, we are seeing Light here!
What more can you want in a face cream? Ayuna Light smells beautiful and leaves my skin balanced + moisturized and it’s super clean!
Still on the hunt for some really stellar options for hand and body cream this one totally hits all the marks. It goes on light, smells beautiful, moisturizes and doesn’t leave my skin or hands feeling greasy. Plus this tube is a great size for my bag too. Stellar ingredients and stellar performance here. It’s actually formulated 100% vegan with prebiotics from noni stem cells that support good bacteria to flourish in the skin’s microbiome which Ayuna says results in cleaner, smoother skin. A real winner!
I see this discovery and the first thing that comes to mind is, this is every mom’s dream! An A+ hand/body cream and a multifunctional day/night face cream!? SOLD!!! Is it too late to start stocking up on Christmas gifts!?
Boxwalla featuring African Botanics
This box is only available through 8/5 so if you have been thinking about it, GET IT NOW!
Okay here’s the deal. Boxwalla is delivering African Botanics’ Fleur D’Afrique – a $250 face serum for less than $49.95. Boom.
Best part? It’s formulated to really protect the skin against harsh weather conditions. African Botanics formulates with sustainable wildcrafted ingredients and blends them with cutting edge technology to make this transformative serum. It’s also formulated with a more natural retinol and guys. After using it straight for 3 weeks I can say with full assurance: It’s totally lightening my hyperpigmentation. And I don’t say this lightly!
You can read more about the ingredients here in my previous post. But let’s talk application. So I have been using this at night only because with the addition of retinol, it can make the skin more photosensitive. So at night, I cleanse, tone, apply a water-based serum and then Fleur D’Afrique and finally seal it all in with a nice face cream. This has literally been the night time routine of all night time routines. SO GOOD!
So if you are on the hunt for something to lighten your hyperpigmentation, this is it! Be sure to order before 8/5!
