Axiology Lipstick Review

Sharing is caring!

GUYS!!! I have been dying to bring you the latest Beauty Heroes colab! And today is the day I can finally spill the beans! Give it up because Axiology Beauty is in the Beauty Heroes hizzzouse. This is a seasonal makeup selection that is open to both members AND non-members. THREE Axiology lipsticks and or crayons are up for grabs here. A total value of $86 but available as of today for $45 (non-members) and $38.25 (members). This is absolutely hands down my fave lipstick. It’s made with real oils and butters – it’s luxurious, feels amazing and looks fantastic. Don’t miss this deal!

Axiology + Beauty Heroes boxOkay so not only is Beauty Heroes dishing up Axiology. They are also giving us a color palate choice. Three to be exact. Check it out:

Daring Collection featuring Worth, Infinite and Valor.
Bright Collection featuring Keen, Noble and Vibration.
Natural Collection featuring Serene, The Goodness and Instinct.

I love all these colors. Every single one of them. But I chose to go with the Natural Collection because I find the nudes to be a little more versatile and even though I have all of these colors – I pickup The Goodness more often than not and I wanted a backup of the Serene crayon which is MY JAM.

Axiology Lipsticks and Lip Crayons: The Scoop

So let’s talk about what makes Axiology so special.  Axiology lipsticks are made with just 10 organic and/or wildcrafted ingredients and use only natural elements to drive pigment. They use organic butters and oils to carry and iron oxide, mica, titanium dioxide and manganese violet to deliver pigment. All of their mineral powers are non-nano and the products are void of synthetics. Their line is also cruelty-free and vegan. And I want to list out their ingredients for you guys because they are so beautiful:

Axiology lip colors come in three different intensities: matte, cream and balm. The lip crayons are more matte and have more staying power. The lipsticks like The Goodness are more of a buildable balm and the more pigmented colors like Worth are creamy with a dense color payoff.

The lipsticks give a moist dewy look and are not matte. They last for a few hours – more if you are not eating or drinking – less if you are.

The lipsticks and crayons moisturize and condition lips as well as color them. Butters and oils like organic avocado oil and organic coconut oil carry pigments and nourish rather than a synthetic wax that will just sit on top of your skin.

Because they are so moisturizing they can be hard to get a precise line along the lip line especially as they wear down. Two things: you can try using a lip pencil first to define lips or what I did in several of these pics was use a lip brush which = total precision.

The Axiology line ranges in color payoff. Some shades are more pigmented with a dense color payoff (like Worth or Fundamental) while others are sheer and less pigmented (like The Goodness and Philosophy). Some even have a shimmer to them like Fundamental and Enlighten.

The colors won’t bleed or crawl up your skin. One thing that stands out to me is they wear off really natural and never look like you NEED to reapply. It just continues to fade evenly throughout the day.

Play with layering colors. Start with a pencil and finishing with a lipstick to create your signature look!

PS, the name “Axiology” is inspired from a philosophy called Axiology which is the study of aesthetics and ethics. So fitting because when you talk about a clean ingredient deck without sacrificing performance. Axiology is it.

Chic + Eco Packaging

Axiology + Beauty Heroes Natural CollectionFirst of all the paper packaging that the tube comes in is so special. It’s made of recycled trash! Axiology founder Erika says, “The paper packaging is so special to us. I lived in Bali, Indonesia while I was starting Axiology. While I was there, I stumbled upon these women who had been recycling paper by hand for over 25 years. They were disturbed with the trash problem on the island and set out to solve it. I fell in love with their story and decided to work with them on packaging.” How much do you love this!?

The tube is also to-die-for georg! First of all it’s gold. Second, it has a click top – so you press it and the tube clicks out. This is FANTASTIC for protecting the product and preventing bag or purse mishaps. Plus, it’s just plain fun.
