The Boxwalla Earthwise Beauty Colab is Rocking My World!

June 28, 2017

Boxwalla June_

Guys. Seriously with this Boxwalla Earthwise Beauty colab!? I am totally floored. When I got my June Boxwalla in the mail I was a little mediocre about it. I’m embarrassed to say my first impressions were something like: Who’s Earthwise Beauty? These products are so small.. and what is this packaging? I mean, I can judge a book by it’s cover like no other and I totally had all of that going on here. But then I started using Earthwise Beauty’s Nap in the Meadow, Ruby Face Oil and Farizad’s Veil and I got punched in the face with efficiency, potency, innovation, experience and a big side of eat crow. Seriously, Boxwalla is dishing up the real deal with their June box and I am so excited to tell you about these Earthwise Beauty goodies.

First of all, if you haven’t heard of Boxwalla, let me fill you in. Boxwalla is a green beauty subscription that’s delivered every two months for $49.95. This month’s beauty box is valued at $158. (Talk about a deal!) This is the fourth box I have had the pleasure of discovering and let me be the first to say, Boxwalla is the yin to my yang. The products they select are always cruelty-free, nontoxic and their deliveries are stuffed with “things that MUST be experienced.” They also have subscriptions for food, books and movies too and you can toggle between genres which is SO FUN.

Wandering Wood Nymph’s Sun-kissed Alchemy

Okay so June’s box has been playfully dubbed the Wandering Wood Nymph’s Sun-kissed Alchemy box – and we are seeing goodies by Earthwise Beauty only. Boxwalla will tend to send mixed brands in their selection but this month they are all-in featuring one brand only. Boxwalla is delivering Earthwise’s:

  • Nap in the Meadow Face Serum – 1 oz, $50
  • Ruby Facial Oil – .5 oz, $58
  • Farizad’s Veil SPF 30+ Powder – .9 oz, $50

The dollar to weight ratio here is pretty steep and to be honest, I don’t think I could have ever scraped together the guts and the $158 it would take to try these items on my own but GOSH DANG I am so thankful (and starting to sweat a little now that I am running low) that Boxwalla introduced me to this real deal line.

Farizad’s Veil, $50

Boxwalla June Farigads Veil

Wish your favorite moisturizer had SPF in it? Well now you don’t have to. This is by far the coolest product we get this month. It’s a sunscreen powder that you can add to your face oil or moisturizer and turn it into an SPF moisturizer! It’s made with non-nano zinc oxide & powdered aloe leaves. The aloe softens the white of the zinc while offering cooling, repairing, moisturizing and soothing benefits to the skin.

I’m still playing with the ratio of oil to SPF here. The directions say mix 1/2 a dropper of the Ruby Face Oil with 1/32 tsp of Farizad’s Veil to apply. Well I don’t have a 1/32 tsp measuring spoon – ha ha! So just eyeballing it over here. But I can say it mixes beautifully – no clumps or inconsistencies.  And it applies like a dream. It’s whatever your fave face moisturizer is with a boost of SPF. Like, who doesn’t want this?! I am SO EXCITED about this product. Here is the full ingredient list:

94% non-nano zinc oxide, organic aloe leaf powder, rosa centifolia absolute (organic when possible), wild crafted pink champaca absolute, organic geranium oil, organic rose geranium oil, wild crafted frankincense oil.

Ruby Face Oil, $58

Boxwalla June Facial Oil

To. Die. For. So good you guys. This goes on so moisturizing and soaks right in. The first time I used it, I literally asked myself, Is this the best face oil I have ever used?! Like it instantly jumped to top-spot contender. The color, the smell, the hydration power…B.A.N.A.N.A.S.

Like if you have never used a face oil before or your are dragging your feet on trying or even if you have tried them all like me – you have to start with this one. It goes on so nice and there is literally no oily/greasy feeling.

Guava seed oil is the base here and carries antioxidant rich, lightweight oils – many of which have their own sun-protecting & sun damage correcting qualities like rosehip oil for example which has been shown to provide SPF 26-50 on its own. And tamanu oil which calms and works to repair skin.

Check out the full ingredient list:

organic guava oil, organic milk thistle oil, organic cranberry oil, organic rosehip oil, organic sacha inchi oil, raspberry oil (organic when possible), organic pequi oil, waldcrafted moringa oil, tamanu oil, organic buriti oil, organic CO2 extracted turmeric, vitamin E, organic CO2 extracted primrose, organic CO2 extracted celery, wild crafted mimosa absolute.

Nap In The Meadow, $50

Boxwalla June Face Serum

This is an aloe serum that you put on before your face oil. It’s super light and smells beautiful – like powdery fresh flowers (but better because like, it’s so hard to describe smell!)

This serum brings hydration and inflammatory agents. Fresh, cold-pressed whole-leaf aloe refreshes skin and is perfect for the summer. Elderberry extract, galbanum essential oil and copaiba balsam resin work together to revitalize and firm skin, heal scars, breakouts, sunburn, reverse UV damage and help with skin tissue repair. It’s teal blue color is from the yarrow oil + German blue chamomile oil + CO2 turmeric extract interacting.

Again, it goes right on and sinks right in. Super light and easy to layer. It’s also recommended to store in the fridge to extend shelf life. Here is the full list of ingredients:

organic aloe leaf juice, elderberry extract, turmeric CO2 extract, caprylyl capryl glucoside, non-GMO vitamin E, organic and wildcrafted lavender oil, organic yarrow oil, wildcrafted Italian everlasting oil, organic German blue chamomile oil, potassium sorbate, organic geranium bourbon oil, organic rose geranium oil, wild crafted copaiba balsam resin, organic galbanum oil, xanthan gum, ascorbic acid (vitamin c), wild crafted wild flower essences

More on Earthwise Beauty

Earthwise Beauty was started by Ava nearly 13 years ago with the goal of creating unique, nutrient dense products. Ava is the real deal, sourcing and formulating with extreme thought and care. Earthwise has close partnerships with organic gardeners, two beekeepers and a small handful of essential oil and hydrosol suppliers and distillers – who are all dedicated to authenticity, purity, freshness and organic + sustainable standards. They also focus on pro-environment practices and fair trade commitment.

Earthwise Beauty is also certified cruelty free by Logical Harmony, PETA and the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics. And most of their products are vegan with the exception of a few because some contain honey and/or pollen – which is sourced from beekeepers who raise their bees (and harvest) using humane practices.

Earthwise is also super conscious about consumption and this reflects in their recycled + recyclable packaging and business supplies.

Get Boxwalla!

Okay seriously you guys, I think I can say this is my fave Boxwalla curation to date. Although it is hard to say that because each one has been so good and (like my kids) I’ve loved them all in different ways.

So, like most months, this box is already SOLD OUT! I know – sorry!!!! Seriously, it happens every time. I can’t get my reviews up fast enough before they are all gone. And most times they sell out before I even get my box! Anyways the bad news is – you can’t get June BUT the good news is you CAN get August. August will be the next month that goes out and with Boxwalla’s track record its bound to be good. Get on it!

Shop the Boxwalla website here – enjoy!
