So cute right?! Okay let’s break it down. Not every shade wears the same here.

I would say Azalia, Zinna and Dahila wear more solid/opaque while the rest of the line wears more sheer. You can build up the entire line but ultimately you are still getting a wash of color with the rest. Rosalina wore especially nude on me. Also, Linnea has more of a shimmery finish than the others. So if you love shimmer get that one and if you don’t, DON’T!

I haven’t made it to the bottom of any of these Lip Oils yet to see how much product is included, but these have a twist bottom so you turn to reveal more product.

My top two fave OGEE Sculpted Lip Oils

#1 Gardenia: This is my favorite shade overall. No big deal, just the perfect peach/brown/pink. I’ve loved it since first swipe. It’s unimposing, polished and understated in the loudest way.

#2 Viola: Out of the box this looks brown and I knew I was going to hate it, but it went on and I FELL IN LOVE. It’s the perfect complement to my tan skin. Mature, grown up, refined and beautiful.

How do OGEE Sculpted Lip Oils wear?

Think of these as moisturizing lip balms with a touch of color. So in that vein they will not “last forever” or “wear all day” and they will not “stay put.” In this way, they wear more like a balm or a lip gloss that you will need to reapply as the day goes by.

Looking at the ingredients in OGEE’s Sculpted Lip Oils

This formula is made up of 92% certified organic ingredients and is formulated in a base of olive oil.

The Sculpted Lip Oils are basically a solid oil that melts on contact. They go on smooth and finish with a little bit of a slip. They also include beeswax, coconut oil, jojoba, shea, sunflower, castor, vitamin e and squalene (among others) and they’re tinted with titanium dioxide, iron oxides and carmine.

One small note, this formula includes hyaluronic acid, a natural humectant and skin conditioner, which can hold up to 1,000 its own weight in water. My experience with these lip colors is that they have been hydrating and comfortable to wear; however I have had several readers say that this product has dried their lips out. Sometimes hyaluronic can have the opposite effect (pulling hydrating from skin instead of toward skin) depending on the molecular weight (or mix of molecular weights) and percentage of HA used in a specific formula.

Last but not least, these have a bit of peppermint essential oil for a cooling, “fresh breath” effect.

The OGEE Sculpted Lip Oils are also cruelty-free, not tested on animals, gluten-free and GMO-free. They are not vegan.

Overall, these are a wash of color that also work to treat lips and I’m over here like: YES, yes, yAAAAs!

Have you tried the OGEE Sculpted Lip Oils?

Oops, carmine is a crushed beetle, and his or her little life was taken to make it. Definitely not without cruelty, unfortunately. I’m sorry to say, but know you’ll understand this comes from a place of clarity, not snarkiness! 💕

Is their foundation considered safe completely boon toxic? Fluorine?

Hi Audrey! In my opinion, YES! Not only do they not contain any ingredients on our No Thanks List, they go out of their way to prioritize organic ingredients when possible.
