Some of you know I’ve been traveling this month so I have this box waiting for me when I get home in August…and I can’t wait to dive in. Herbivore Botanicals hit the scene in 2011 when co-founder Julia Wills was looking for ways to help co-founder Alex Kummerow’s eczema. Julia created a natural gentle soap that was so effective it propelled this notion into a full blown brand.

This month, we are getting a full size Prism Glow Potion which is a treatment serum you wear under your moisturizer. Then we are getting 3 deluxe size face oils/moisturizers. A great way to try a bulk of what Herbivore has to offer without committing to full sizes. Here’s what’s included:

Prism Glow Potion (full size), $62 – A lightweight exfoliating serum that promises to gently smooth, sooth, brighten and plump the appearance of skin. I love that they chose to include kakadu plum as a plant-based source of vitamin c. Apply 4-8 drops a day under moisturizer and sunscreen.

Lapis Oil (8 ml), $24 -Balance + soothe skin with a calming dose of blue tansy to reduce the appearance of redness while encouraging balanced hydration.

Phoenix Oil (8 ml), $26 – Rosehip oil, sea buckthorn, chia seed oils and super-antioxidant CoQ10 all work together to replenish + renew skin.

Orchid Oil (8 ml), $22Smooth + brighten + glow with squalane, orchid extract and jasmine sambac oil.

Okay let’s get down to business. This month we are discovering Graydon with:

The Hero: Fullmoon Serum, $87

Okay the first thing I want to say about Fullmoon Serum is I LOVE the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a glass dropper and a glass top AND there is a seal on the inside of the bottle so the dropper is guided in and out reducing the amount of contaminants that can get in. All my time in green beauty and I’ve never seen a glass bottle like this – I LOVE IT.

Second, the color is incredible and this product smells super fresh. Both of these together create a beautiful experience. But let’s get to the money.

Fullmoon Serum is designed to act in several ways:

  • Malachite and blue tansy protect against pollution and antioxidant stress.
  • Vitamin C, plant collagen and oligopeptides unveil a brighter, tighter and more even-toned appearance.
  • Hyaluronic acid to retain hydration.
  • Moth bean extract, a legume native to India and Pakistan, delivers a concentrated dose of phyto-retinol to stimulate natural collagen production and boost cell renewal.

Um, kinda falling in love with this serum. Have you tried it???

The Sidekick: Green Cream, $43

The Green Cream is a very light gel-like cream. It goes on and dries matte. People with oily, sensitive or congested skin may find this a perfect match and those with dryer skin may need an additional layer of moisture.

Think of the Green Cream like a superfood salad for your skin. It’s packed with highly concentrated chlorella tea, tonifying sage, rosemary, thyme and parsley – and soothing squalane and neem to support normal sebum levels.

It also contains two phyto-retinols: moth bean extract and bakuchiol to boost collagen and elastin.

Both of these come just in time to help balance the added sun exposure that summer brings.
