Sporting a couple of organic pieces from Synergy Organic Clothing. Comfy, fair trade + organic; Synergy not only looks cute but gives back!
Remember when shopping = a trip to your town mall or the occasional catalogue order? I’m talking about back in the day when The GAP ruled the world and they didn’t made shoes bigger than a size 10!? When Orange Julius was the epitome of delicious and Claire’s had a waitlist for ear gun piercing? Yeah I just brought it back.
Options for “cool clothes” used to be so limited I remember one time when I was in high school, my friend and I took the bus to New York City (I can’t believe my parents let me do that!?) just to go shopping.
(I bought these “awesome” pair of marbled red, brown and black Aerosoles clogs – I can still see them in my head – shiny as all get-out.)
ANYWAYS! Those days are long gone and today we can pick and choose the threads we want to wear, how we want them made, we can get bags embossed with monograms and booties for our pups. Like LITERALLY the world is at our finger tips.
Choosing to buy responsibly made clothes brings us one step closer to a sustainable and healthier planet.
Let me introduce you to Synergy Organic Clothing
Okay so speaking of the world at our fingertips. I found Synergy Organic Clothing when I was window shopping on Instagram. I instantly fell in love with their style. They sell mens and women’s pieces as well as some fair trade jewelry and accessories. Synergy delivers laid back, comfy everyday wear that can be dressed up or down. And of course when I saw they are committed to using organic materials, I was sold – hook, line and sinker.
Okay but wait, what actually sold me was the comfort. I love what this company was doing from a far BUT when I actually got some of their pieces in my hands I was like WOAH! Their materials are not only free from sprays, toxins, pesticides, plastics etc. but they are actually super soft. Soft in texture but also forgiving too – like if you bend your elbow the material will move with you and not push back.
These pieces also kept their shape after washing too. I dried one of their tanks in the dryer and it stayed true to size. Which is HUGE! I love to line dry my clothes just for the sake of the air smell but for convenience sake sometimes you just need to throw your clothes in the dryer and not have them come out looking like doll clothes. Check.
I also love their color palates. Muted and playful neutrals that pretty much go with any color. My jam. When I had ordered, most of their items came in one of three colors, a cloud white, stone black and this blue that you see here. And it looks like for fall they have switched out the blue and added a pretty dusty green they are calling Agave and also a muted plum called Rabbit.
Synergy sizes pretty generously. I am 5’10” and 150 lbs and I usually take a medium although some brands I need a large or a small. Medium was perfect for me across the board with tanks, shirts and dresses. I actually got a really pretty summer dress in a large but it was way too big/long and I had to send it back. This dress below is a medium and it fits perfect.
Synergy manufactures their clothes in Nepal where the owner and founder Kate Fisher made a connection while traveling during college. Kate saw that Nepal has a huge lack of resources for living including education. So deciding to manufacture in Nepal with healthy organic fabrics and fair trade wages is her way of giving back. Synergy also donates to non-profits in Nepal who focus on providing financial empowerment to women and education for children.

You know when you learn a new word and then all of a sudden you hear it everywhere? That totally happened to me with Synergy. (Not the word, the brand). So after I connected with Synergy, the next day I went into Whole Foods and guess what I saw! Racks and racks of Synergy Organic Clothing! If you are local in Atlanta, the Whole Foods in Buckhead has a great selection!
The price is right too with tops around $40 and dresses under $100. Their styles go on sale with the seasons so looks like you can most always snag a good deal – like this tank (below) was $42 when I got it but now it’s on sale for $25.20. Also, how much do you love this stitching detail on the back!?
I also love the cut of this tank. I have a longer torso which means often times shirts are too short for me. But this one is cut so generous. And because of that I also love it paired with a cropped jacket. Cute right!?
Their dresses are fun for work or play. I’ve worn this dress to work interpreting and also when I’m out and about with the kids. It’s easy to move in and I look put together with minimal effort – all I did was throw it on. That’s the magic of a good dresses!
Also Synergy has free shipping on domestic orders over $100 and anything under that is flat rate shipping at $7.95.
