Trying to grab a better-for-you lipstick and some healthy skincare? We’ve got you! Check out our list of over 90 places to shop for clean beauty. Some of these stores you may already know but use this list as inspiration and a place to discover something new! Welcome to our vetted list of clean beauty stores + ways to save!
By: Lisa Fennessy
Don’t you wish you could just walk into Sephora and have it all be completely clean (by TNK standards)? Us too. Well, while we wait for that dream to come true, this list is the closest you’re going to get to it. We scoured the internet, vetted hundreds of brands and rounded up the best clean beauty stores and brands to shop online.
As clean beauty becomes more ubiquitous, we are seeing more and more options for places to shop—as proof with this list. We originally published this post a few years ago and called it “40 Clean Beauty Stores…” but since then this list has more than DOUBLED.
To help make sense of it all, we’ve broken this list down into three categories. Clean beauty retailers (where the entire shop is stocked with clean beauty from multiple brands). Clean beauty brand retailers (online shops carrying their own brand only). And mainstream retailers (who carry both conventional and clean beauty products).
We decided to include mainstream retailers like Nordstrom, Neman Marcus and Anthropologie for example to make it easier to shop clean beauty as you are out and about. Shopping at stores like Anthropologie is a great idea if you know what to look for…sometimes you can even score up to 30% off on green beauty goodies at Anthro but you have to weed through what’s clean and what’s not.
On the contrary, if you hit up retailers who specialize in clean beauty, like The Detox Market or Credo, the less work you have to put in. Either way, we’ve basically rounded up all the ways you can find clean beauty on the internet. Plus some exclusive coupon codes to help you save!

Mainstream retailers
Amazon
Believe it or not there is a ton of clean beauty on Amazon. To make it easier, check out our Amazon Shop where we have a bunch of my faves rounded up like:
Anthropologie
Anthro has a pretty robust Beauty + Wellness section. If you know what you are shopping for you can really score here especially since they have been running 30% off sales like NONSTOP for years now.
Don’t leave without:
Neiman Marcus
Neiman’s Trending Beauty department features several clean beauty brands. If you are shopping online, you will even see a “clean beauty” section you can toggle under this department as well. Again, not perfect but pretty good. I spy Vintner’s Daughter, Solara, Tata Harper and more.
Don’t leave without:
Nordstrom Beauty Department
Nordstrom’s natural beauty department has been growing significantly over the last few years and you can now get everything from Westman Atelier, RMS to True Botanicals. Their definition of clean beauty is on the liberal side so always check ingredient lists if you’re not 100% sure, but either way I love seeing clean beauty in the wild. Plus their customer service is next level.
Don’t leave without:
Sephora
Sephora is a great place to shop for two reasons. It’s ubiquitous. I mean at this point, what mall doesn’t have a Sephora? And second, they offer free shipping on orders over $50 plus FREE RETURNS! YES! So you can order a foundation in a couple different shades and return the ones that don’t work. So good. I have an entire Sephora Shopping Guide outlining what I would buy and what I wouldn’t.
Don’t leave without:
Target
Target actually has a robust clean beauty section. And it’s a great place to grab essentials on the fly. That being said, there are still several brands that market themselves as clean, natural and/or organic but aren’t. Use my Target Shopping Guide to help narrow down clean options at Target. Here are some faves you will find at Target:
Whole Foods
Depending on your location you can find a ton or a few clean beauty goodies stocked in store. Plus don’t miss their annual beauty week that features deep discounts on beauty and personal care (think 25-30% off) that happens every May.
Dive Deeper: Check out what we think about the Whole Foods clean beauty standard (and how it compares to others) here.

Gina
December 19, 2018Thank you for this! Fantastic summary and so ,I have to try! I subbed to Boxwalla and haven’t actually tried the products yet as I’m trying to figure out how to fit them into my routine. One thing though. They don’t contact you at all. In a way this is great – no annoying emails but also not good because I forgot about the subscription and they don’t send you a shipping notification or anything – the next box just shows up on your doorstep. It’s great that they have good stuff but not good for my wallet.
Lisa
December 21, 2018Hi Gina! This is great feedback – thank you! I am going to pass it on to Boxwalla. xo!
Mara
January 6, 2019This guide is straight up amazeballs! I just got into skincare late last year and almost gave up on non k-beauty products since I didn’t have good references for green western beauty products that weren’t already at big retailers. Now I can bookmark this page for a quick reference! I have so many pending carts rnw tho so not great on the wallet. Boxwalla is fantastic their December box was a ridiculously good value!
Lisa
January 7, 2019“Amazeballs” – haha! Yes! This is a bookmark for sure. So many goodies and ways to save here! And I agree – Boxwalla is OFF THE CHAIN!
Gay McMichael
October 6, 2023I would add Violet Grey. Some of the vendors/products are not clean but they do offer some great clean beauty products that are not offered by other clean beauty on-line stores.
