If you want the crème de la crème, the jewel in the crown, the flower of sth for organic skincare….look no further than Laurel. If this is your first time hearing about Laurel Skin, hold on to your organic socks because they are about to get knocked off. You can read more about my experience with Laurel here. And for those who know…introducing…Laurel Skin’s limited edition Honey Rose Spice Mask. Available seasonally only.

If you haven’t met Laurel yet, girrrrrrrl. You better recognize. Based out of Northern California, Laurel Skin is seed-to-bottle skincare at it’s finest. With a background in herbal medicine, physiology, phytochemistry and as a sommelier, Laurel works with several local farmers to cultivate herbs and botanicals to create authentic, vibrant (biodynamic, local and at the bare minimum, organic) plant medicine for the skin. You really have to experience it to believe it.

Laurel formulates one-of-a-kind, dynamic, potent and effective skincare. It’s the kind you can use ONCE and see a difference. Pure, artisanal and rich in both color and nutrients. She equates her work to that of a master chef who stone grinds and ferments her own sour dough, uses a 4 day broth as a base for her handmade risotto and forages wild edibles to garnish. It’s slow, intentional, sustainable, mindful and effective skincare. Laurel harnesses and delivers the power of nature like no other.

The Story Behind Honey Rose Spice Mask

Honey Rose Spice Mask is a treat delivered with abundance from Mother Nature. Here is a bit about how this mask came to be from Laurel…

Laurel created Honey Rose Spice Mask in 2018 as a special holiday treat. When it comes to limited edition products, Laurel likes to use abundant ingredients or surprise gifts from the Earth. Last year, one of our farmers had far more roses than we actually needed. Laurel turned this ‘problem’ into something skin would love, and that she would love creating; the Honey Rose Spice Mask. Again this year, our farmer had an abundance of roses and we are so happy to bring Honey Rose Spice back as a limited edition product this year.

How to apply

Okay so for any of you Honey Berry Enzyme Mask lovers out there (me included), this mask is very similar in terms of application.

Laurel Honey Rose Mask consistancy

It’s super viscous in consistency so to help it spread, be sure to apply to damp skin. Dry skin = no spreading. And wet skin = no adherence. So *damp* skin is really the best. I like misting my face with something like The Optimist while applying to help the mask move. Leave on for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse off and glow.

I had different experiences with this mask. The first time I used it, it felt so active I was ready to take it off after 15 minutes. Then subsequent times I used it, I’ve enjoyed leaving it on for the full 30 minutes. Either way, this mask is so potent you can really feel it working. And did I mention the smell!? They don’t name it Honey Rose Spice for nothing! I’m talking deep, rich notes of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon…but mostly clove. It’s just so perfect for winter.

With the Honey Rose Spice Mask, you can expect light exfoliation, hydration and glowing skin after use. Seriously, my skin feels so good after. Soft, plump, clean and fresh.

While the mask is on, you can also consider Honey Tapping to stimulate lymphatic flow and circulation. Honey Tapping also encourages lymphatic drainage and leaves your skin glowing. It’s also a form of gentle exfoliation that works by sticking to and lifting up dead skin cells. I tried it and it looks something like this! You can also learn more about Honey Tapping here.

How limited is limited!?

Laurel says they made as much as they were able to given the supply of roses. And they only expect to have Honey Rose Spice Mask in stock for the first part of 2019. It won’t last long says Laurel, It’s a fan favorite! We have customers who have been anxiously waiting for its return since last year.

Laurel Honey Rose Mask Packaging

Honey Rose Spice Mask is wrapped in Laurel Skin’s limited edition packaging. A pretty blush pink box. Laurel says they plan to offer limited edition products from time to time and these products will be the only ones offered in these blush boxes.

And this black Miron glass pot with simple + elegant typeface is the look of Laurel’s new packaging to come – rolling out in the next few months.

Get it before it’s gone!

Honey Rose Spice Mask is sold out for the season. Looking forward to see if Laurel brings it back again next year!

Hi Lisa. Awesome! I’m start to love HONEY ROSE SPICE MASK. In fact, I usually use Korea face mask. They also work well. I wonder is it possible to use my face mask together with honey rose spice mask?
